I wouldnt do it..if you go to remove and it doesnt just peel right off you got a huge problem.
A cheap paint job colorsanded/buffed will do you much better.

I wrapped this L88 Lemans replica, it is painted white all over, but wanted something different, with the option to return to single color. The stripe on the hood is painted, so the car looks fabulous as white with red stripe and red interior. The blue is wrapped, the red stripes on the roof and rear deck is wrapped, and the numbers are static cling. Total cost to wrap was $1200, took 2 days for the guy to do it.
This car is heading to Barrett Jackson in January, Friday lot # 1076. It will be crossing the block around 6:00 with open headers, should rattle the windows!! Hopefully, Bob Bondurant will be riding with me onto the block, he loves the car.

Don't forget the surface under the wrap has to be perfectly smooth other wise you will see the imperfections. As far as cost goes to do the entire car will be a couple of thousand dollars minimum. Also consider if you do a wrap and you get a chip or a nick the entire panel has to be redone to repair it.

Wrap?
Never had a car wrapped but done properly it looks good. Personal opinion is it fits racing application best and
JRM5657 your application of wrap and paint is a perfect example of how it wrorks. I have no idea of cost but 2k sounds about right.

A buddy of mine does it for a living as part of his business. he only does it when he has to between the cost of rap and cost of labor you cant charge enough.
but I have been there when he was unwrapping a car after 3 years and it comes off easy no damage to the original paint. but I'm sure it could happen to damage paint if the paint was not
a paint that was not clear coated.

Well, this is something I do as part of my business. No problem removing. Cost is around $1800 to $3000 depending on the application. Solid color vs.printed vinyl. I get the wrap question allot. And my point is always that it is temporary! So if you don't mind spending the cash for something that will last 5 years IF taken care of, go for it. Just make sure you have the right shop do it! Do your home work.
