Default Where can I purchase PCV clamp (sharp)?

I’m in the process of “fixing” things in my engine bay. I can’t seem to find the PCV clamps with the sharp edges. I also believe I need them for my PB hose. Any help would be appreciated.

One other question. Where they originally green or black?

Black spring clamps. You can take the repro parts and file the rounded end flat and then just smooth (slightly) the sharp edge. Touch up the edge only with some flat black paint and you'll, most likely, be good to go. Or, you can just leave them alone and lose 1 point in judging. Also, the same spring clamps are used on the vacuum line from the brake booster to the back of the intake manifold.
Keith types faster than I do

If you file them down, you will still lose the point because the "ears" are too short.
Buy the real ones at swap meets or from the used parts guys that are well known in the hobby.

Don,
I agree but if judging is at the local chapter, I would think a high percentage of the judges have no clue. I could cite many things that were very obvious for being wrong at our local chapter judging. The biggest one, by a person who owns a Corvette restoration shop and is in the NCM Hall of Fame, missed my service replacement dated carb. I still kid him about that.
P.S. It is not John Z

Those are the only ones I could find as well but they are green, hence my question. If they are the same, I can always paint them if I can’t find others.

You're absolutely correct. When it comes to Chapter meets, anything goes. I know John Z would not miss that. And painted clamps won't get it either, except at Chapter meets.
Parts don't grow paint. I am never talking about Chapter meets. And where do you find Caviar junk yards?

Ed:

Contact John Meissinger a guy who lives in Oregon or Washington and has all sorts of used Chevrolet/Corvette parts. He has an Ebay Stores and always has auctions going on Ebays for small parts like this. I will send you a link tomorrow if needed, but I believe his Ebay name is "johnmeissinger1" David S. in California is also a source. Same with Richard Fortnier in Michigan.

I will also check my stock and see if I have a few hanging on the wall over the workbench in the correct size. If I do, I will let you know and send them to you. I have some, but may not be the correct size you need.

Ed:

Checked my collection of hose/tubing clamps and I have one (1) that is 5/8 to 11/16 in diameter and has the square end. Originally painted green, but looks almost black now due to age and patina. Yours if you want. Just PM me your address. Offer is to you only.

I have many others of this same size, but with the rounded tangs............including the one on my own car.

The tangs were rounded to prevent cuts on the mechanics fingers when working on these cars back in the day. I guess the previous owner of my 67 decided he had donated enough blood for the cause and changed clamp to the "safety" kind. Again, if you want/need the original, just let me know.

Larry
