Detroit Speed Headlight Motor Install?
Do I need these brackets on the end of my motors for the Detroit Speed conversion? Reading the install instructions it says to remove the headlight motor assemblies. Would the bracket be part of the assembly? I haven’t found any clear pictures. I’m going to sell the motors but want to be sure if I need the brackets first.

You don't need the parts you have pictured, but why sell them before you complete the install? Unless you need the money, keep them and let then go with the car when you sell it, or at least offer for the buyer to purchase the original motors. You never know what might help a sale if you need to sell. They might want to restore to stock.

I installed the DS conversion and kept the old motors and then rebuilt them, they went back in the car for judging. After which I put the DS conversion back in, after which the car got knocked in the front destroying the DS motors, so the original motors went back in. They are in the car and working fine....
So - you just don't know....keep the original motors, rebuild them and tuck them away just in case...

I installed the DS headlight motors in my car about 5 years ago. I love them. It is a great upgrade IMO.
I kept my motors for a while then last year sold them. My car is a long way from original so I figured it something goes wrong i will just by new DS HLM.

You'll notice, that same 2 holes exist on the new motors, so they slide right in the same way the old ones came out... Just make sure you slide the old plastic bushings off the shaft, or you will be there all day trying to get the new motors on the shaft. When it's all done you'll be glad you upgraded. Good luck with your project...!!
