66 Power Steering help
I need some help from the collective on my pwr steering. Everything is new and put in using the AIM and the new pwr steering control valve ballanced per all documents. so what it does is it works normally from center to the right all the way to the stop. then when you go to the left it works normally for 2/3 to 3/4 of the travel then takes off on its own... any ideas from the collective??? its a 66 L72..

I think you should back up and check the valve adjustment like the book explains. Disconnect the slave cylinder rod from the frame bracket and remove the dust cap on the valve, start the engine and center the valve spool.
After this adjustment if you get no joy there may be a problem with the valve, I would call the supplier.
