Bare glass underbody on 1963's only ?
So knowing GM didn't paint the 63's under body from the factory I decided to undertake a detour job before setting the body back on the frame. This SWC had the usual undercoating in the wheel wells and random rattle can paint in other parts when I got it. But mostly bare glass still visible. Now .It's taken months ,some light sanding, 2 coats of West systems epoxy resin to seal it ..... it's finally done. I'll never do that again !
......
.
......

GR - Nice job; what epoxy resin did you to seal the bare glass with, and can you describe the methods employed sanding and applying the resin - Thanks - GV

Yep ......Sanding fiberglass overhead is a real joy ! I wet sanded with 180, just enough to get the light clean color back. Then followed up with West Systems 2 part epoxy. The cure time requires it to be done in sections w/ greater than 70deg F temp..
I applied it with a light bristled brush. What a pain . You need face shield and Tyvek suit, Oh careful not get it on your skin...... because it does burn ......
If I were to do it again (which I wont) just spray it with clear and be done.
