In praise of pressure bleeding
I've probably bleed the brakes on over a thousand cars in my life and after all this time I'm finally getting around to setting up a pressure bleeding apparatus. And while I've bled the brakes on my numerous boat trailers using low pressure compressed air, it still required an assistant. Now I can do the task by myself and the brakes on my vette have never been firmer.
I still need new pads as mine have become glazed along with the rotors which actually have a mirror finish at this point but having a firm pedal is a treat. Why did I wait so long!

I have probably bled brakes about 990 times less than you......... and pressure bleeding is really great!! I didn't wait because I'm a lazy son of a -----!

Speed bleeders also make it a one-man, pretty easy task as well...

I've owned my vette for over forty years and never been satisfied with the brake bleeding before now...something about having so many damned pistons and chambers make it a non-trivial task. And I've vacuum bled a few cars with mixed success but it never worked on the vette.

Problem with pressure bleeders is that one, if you pressurize them and after you are done, leave pressure in it, it can bind in a lot of moisture and then second, if you leave the fluid in, it too can get contaminated....

Not sure I understand this but maybe what I am calling 'pressure bleeding' is not the same as how you visualize it. My device probably creates around 5 psi of pressure which is considerably less than someone pumping the pedal can create and I can't leave pressure in the master cylinder as I have to remove my device to put the cap back on.
