I think you're confused. Nowhere man is correct, a base motor in 66 and 67 used the low 5,500 tach and 60# oil. In 66, the L36 and L79 all had 6,000 tachs. What you might be confusing it with is the oil pressure ... in 66 L36s are documented with most getting 60# gauges like the base & L79, but quite a few L36s got 80# gauges like the L72.

made up or not, it amazes me that you have a car that you are touting as restored ( NCRS correct ) and you don't spend a few bucks to detail it for pictures, the paint looks washed out, interior looks as if it has never been cleaned, something is going on with the hood fitment and the gaps around the headlight buckets , don't know when the restoration was done but from the looks of the restored frame, and the pictures of the engine compartment, I would say there is quite a few years in between. and the convertible top look like my grandson installed it. He is 5 yrs old.
