I believe vettemasters, who makes repo frames, builds and uses a wooden crate. Particle board or plywood sides, then line is with styrofoam and other soft stuff. Its too heavy for a cardboard box.

Thank you Ken. That's kinda what I had in mind.
I also considered those large cardboard tubes they use for pouring cement or larger diameter plastic water pipe.
I'll stick with the wooden crate and styrofoam as you suggested.

Don't forget a lot of " FRAGILE GLASS " markings and insurance.

I'm curious, why are you shipping them the whole windshield assembly? why not just take it apart, buy new glass, get post chromed, upper and lower molding polished, then reassemble.

Hi Ken;
I cannot find anyone in Northwest that would tackle it
ie; How many windshields do I buy before I stop breaking them. LOL

How about tackling the disassembly yourself and just ship everything but the glass? Then you'll just pay for the return shipping in the entire assembly. Glassworks makes the crates for shipping.
