53 vette
i recently purchased a 56 and the seller had a 53 also.im thinking of buying it but dont know what its worth.I checked in Hemmings but they didnt have any advertised.This 53 has an excellent frame,the orginal engine,it was painted about 10 years ago but he didnt finish putting all the chrome and weather stripping back on.

He said he wants 55000.This car is not currently running but is all there .the paint on the dash is pealing.It is definitly a 1953 with the orginal engine and trans.

If I were you and were seriously interested in a 53, I would contact Noland Adams and seek his advice. I believe his email address is: nolandadams@d-web.com There is a huge difference in a 54 that someone has represented as a 53 and a real 53. The $55K is probably a bargain if it is indeed a 53 and substantially all there.
