Default Vent misalignment

Next on the agenda is to try to improve the alignment of the vent window frame to windshield frame interface. The picture of the drivers side shows the issue. Having read some previous posts it sounded as if there was some adjustment potential in the frame. Before I start loosing bolts and such has anyone any advice? She is a 66.

Thanks

Are you sure it is not the door rather than the vent that needs adjustment?

The angle of the vent assembly is adjusted from inside the door after removing the inner door panel. Do you have a copy of the GM factory shop manual? It pretty much shows how to adjust it.

The door alignment is pretty good as defined by decent gaps and its leading and trailing edges being flush with the rest of the body. I do have the manuals and a reasonably clear vision as how to proceed, just figured I'd ask if anyone had advice before I began down that road.
