Default Missing Piece on Door

I'm missing a piece on the inside of both doors. I don't know what it's called or where to get it. Also, how does it attach?

Its a corner piece and Long Island sells them - what year car ? It makes a difference...

You can see them here - if somebody has hacked up your window channel though you may not be able to attach them...

Have you checked the inside bottom of your door? They can fall off and be in the door cavity. They may be different for the 63s. They clip on to the window via clip. I don't remember what they are called, but I think Paragon has begun reproducing them. I think I found the last two good used pieces about 15 years ago. Jerry

What you're looking for is the 64-67 coupe inner door corner molding. They're available as a repro for about $75 for the pair, and come with the short felt strip attached to them.

63s are different and no correct repros are made - most adapt the 64 garnishes.

For my 65. I looked for them for 30 min. on LI’s website. Difficult site to navigate, never did find them.

The OP wasn't looking for the door glass channel. He was looking for the stainless trim piece that fills the space between the bead on the inner door glass wipes on the door panel, and the bead on the pre-bent, door glass rear vertical felt channel.

Yes, not cheap, and care needs to be taken when installing them - leave no sharp metal exposed where it can scratch the window when operating it.

Thanks for that tip, Frankie. How does it attach, I see a fastener hole so does it take a sheet metal screw and should I have a nutplate? Can I install it while in the car?

The part snaps into the hole on the door. There is a green nipple that spreads out to attach it to the door. It can be installed without removing anything. Jerry

It’s been a while but I thought the corner was riveted to the rest of the garnish and the split nub secures it to the door.

What I got from LICS when I ordered the channel was stapled (not riveted) - my mistake:

I cannot get this piece inserted into the hole! Is there a rubber insert or something? I’ve ground down the split nub but have to go much farther to get it in. And then once I make it small enough to fit the hole, not sure it will stay. Any ideas?
