Default how to check "original GM hood"

looking to purchase an original GM hood for my 66 427 convertible. is there anything definitive that will help me sort out the original from an aftermarket hood? thanks, Rick

The first thing to check is to make sure it’s press molded and not hand laid If hand laid you know it’s not OEM. The older repros used a different rivet

I have a press molded aftermarket 66 big block hood I bought several months ago. I’ll be installing it soon, but other than the rough finish on the reinforcement panel, it looks identical to oem, at least to me. I can take some pictures if you are interested? Perhaps some of the experts could point out the differences.
