AIM is not clear on how to seal this plate. For those that have worked in this area how did you seal? I think seal around the wiper pivot from the interior side and no sealant on the mounting bracket, but the manual looks like sealant is applied around the bracket perimeter and around the pivot hole on the exterior side between body and bracket. Can anyone clarify? Thanks in advance

I used body seam sealer between the plate and body before riveting it onto the body.

Re thinking, it is dum dum, 3M rope caulk, or electrical dum dum sealer. Body seam sealer technically is a bit different.
