Should be 3919852 for '68 early or 3937797 for late '68 & '69. 435hp More likely the 797 because of the dent on the #5 runner.

Looks to me like someone ground the firing order, part # and Winters mark off? PN should be to the rt of the thermostat.

Shucks, then again I thought the date code was in a different place.

That is a rare prototype / experimental piece - the 0 preceding the casting number is your clue
That was designed to be used in non - Corvette application - most likely Chevelle.
The rear carb is dropped down to fit under the cowl / firewall.
Date code - early 1967
I saw one of these at Smokeys installed on one of his NASCAR Chevelles

that makes sense. Place I got all the parts from, I also got a couple rare junior johnson intakes

Is that when Junior decided to make his "own" intakes - trying to improve on what was already "out there"
I believe Smokey had one - can't recall details - it was a bit different / weird LOL
