Default Recommendations for Corvette Repair Shop in LA Area

I have a 1957 Corvette in need of some repair work (rebuilding door windows, replacing third member, etc.) I live in Santa Barbara, but there is no good Corvette repair shop for C-1s in this town. I need to find a shop in the LA area that can work on older Corvettes. Any help is appreciated.

Check out Ed at Corvette Service Company, in Carpenteria. I read he is still working, (805) 684-5859 (he has been there forever).

They are a small shop. and did great work for me when I lived in Ventura.

Both Ed and Jeff are great. I am not sure if Ed is taking any more new business, but he is usually there to talk to. Exit Santa Claus lane, you cant miss it.

I've had my car on his rack for a look over when I first bought it. Since then, I have called him numerous times and discussed the repairs I'd like and he seemed interested and that he could do some research to find the parts (third member, different short block). However, he never, ever, calls me back. This after calling him many times. I know that he is semi-retired and has enough work if he wants it. I only wish he would be straight with me and tell me that, but not responding is not something I can deal with, therefore I am looking elsewhere.

Yeah, I have talked with Ed on many occasions. I would definitely go to him if he was accepting work. Evidently, he is not. I call, we talk, he makes it sound as though we will do something and then there is no followup. I call again, and the same thing repeats itself. Therefore, I need to look elsewhere. Too bad, since he comes highly recommended and is in my backyard!
