I think I like...I would choose the quick change if I did it again.....however, when I finish this car...I will not be "touring" it...only gassing it...so I don't think I car about the left , right noise....we'll see...

The Quick change added some coin to the build . Nate is owner at B&J in Kingman Az.
Based on 10" Quick Change Gear.
934.5 CV's , Gear Posi, 100's of QC ratios, top or bottom pinion, 1350 yoke.
21 3/4" long, 11" tall, 8" wide, pinion offset is 3 1/2", weight 115lbs of 300m.
Input shaft is 1" dia "torsion bar" & double lip CV seals.

Finally got the side pipes and headers done....he put internal motorcycle like baffles in it so its not that loud, especially at 65mph in 5th gear....I wanted a simple, yet racy look....I think it looks like what I was going for. I will take some undercar pictures later this weekend. I really like this, but as many warned, I have already burned my leg twice....

By the way, who built the headers?

Those look fantastic! Watch your legs though. It takes about .01 seconds to melt the back of an ankle!

A local guy built the headers....I am in a small town an hour and a half south of Tucson, so its amazing that we actually have a great TIG welder/fabricator here...he used to work for exotic car raceshops in California and Phoenix.

Here are some pictures from the underside...he used the flex coupler because he said stainless can crack (around the header flanges) if the engine torques to one side (I doubt that happens with the LS motor mounts I have)....but better safe....those couplers are wrinkled on the outside but actually have a solid pipe in the inside that has a loose slip fit.




The picture above is of the mounting brackets he made for the pipes.....pipes come off with 4 bolts per side and a v-band clamp.
