Default Engine code

I have a motor in my 1966 corvette that I need help with decoding the numbers so I will know what is in it.
‘The back block numbers a 389657
Front stamping on the block VIII7MA

it started out as 327/210 from a Camaro

The 3892657 block was also used in the Corvette in '66 & '67. Is it possible you misread the block number?

As Keith mentioned above, the MA suffix would make it a '67 or '68, 210hp Camaro with manual transmission engine.

Default . It is 3892657.

I did have a number missing on the back of the engine block. It is 3892657
On front of the block is
VIII7MA
So is this out of a Camaro?

Yes I misread the block numbers �� It’s 3892657 at the back of block
Front of block numbers are VIII7MA
