That's some good stuff Woodie.
While getting old has it's downside, it still beats the alternative.

I did a few car show appearances (Champion Chevrolet, Clippinger Chevrolet, Don Steves Chevrolet, and Coast Corvette) that I am suppressing in my memory! Funny those businesses ask me to attend, but the NCRS guys managing the Champion and Clippinger events asked me to leave. But many guys had the Chrome like you show!

Sorry about the caps. I had four surgeries on my right arm and all went bad so know ... I peck with my left hand. Also my eye surgery went bad and it's much easier to see the full print. If you think that was unfuny you should have seen my first eating with my left hand. I was pretty dangerous to to my lips with the fork ...i am not ambdectours ( sp ) brushing teeth is still hard. Hey i'm still alive and still better off than a lot of people so no whineing here just trying to stay upright. I guess right about stuff is ... Well i just don't have much to do these days so i'm haunting these different forums . If it is wrong or my caps is to much i can go away. Just say the word.

Wow i just looked back . In 4 months i'll have been a supporting member for 20 years ... Time sure flies. I found a receipt in abox for my first corvette 49 years ago. I bought it in dallas, pa. It's starting to come back with a friends talk. I bought a silver with red interior 1965 , side pipes and knockoffs. Man my friend said i was so proud driving that back to whitney point to show my friend who owned a chevy dealership ( great guy - lost his dealership in that stupid cut back chevy did ) anywho when i drove in a guy followed me in and and began looking as my friend and i were talking. Guy interrupted us and asked what i paid for it. Well ( later my wife tells me ) i was so prud after looking for 6 months for that perfect car ( silver with red & sidepipes ) that i told the guy what i paid = $17,000. He says i'll give you $20,000 right now! I said "no way" this is my dream car! He walks around again ( my firnd tells me i was getting pretty tired of this guy and back then i was not opposed to being a bit stupid when someone got in my face. I had 34 carpenters and labors working for me and you couldn't be a whimp with those guys or ... Well you know. Anywho back to this guy he tells me i'll give you $4,000 profit as he had had one just like it when he went to college ( his dad bought for him) and his dad died and he had to sell it. Sorry i said and jumped in my beautiful vette and drove home. It was october and getting cold. I got home my wife said (and i guess i had convinced her to buy a corvette and when my sons got older we could sell for college) ... So we're eating supper and my friend calls me and says hey you should sell that car! " what!" he says i didn't want to say anything you were so prioud. But that car ahs been hit hard! It has about 11 washers holding the steering box out at an angle and it had a lot of nose work. "sell it find another" and a short bit later and the phone rings. It's that guy. My friend gave him my phone number. Before this my wife heard the story and she said you had a great time going and looking at cars and here was the chance to make $4,000 extra for the college fund and you turned it down! Ummm well i really like the car ...the guy says last offer $5.000 profit. Come up i said cause i wait a day and i won't do it. This dude comes with cash and gets in the corvette and says wow i haven't driven standard in years... So i reminded him on the gear pattern and it started to snow.. Wow after stalling twice he goes out of my driveway sideways engine screaming tires looking for some traction. I never saw or heard from him again and the hunt was on!
