Default Differential Gasket ?
I plan on using Permatex RTV gasket maker to seal my differentoal cover to the differential housing that was just rebuilt and I was told to sandwich the new stock gasket between a coating of RTV that would be applied to cover and housing. Any feedback on using or not using the stock gasket with RTV would be appreciated.

I used permatex ultra grey with the gasket. Then torqued the cover in increasing increments to final torque. This was recommended by GTR1999.
