Default 3 Point Seatbelt in a Coupe

Anyone here installed a 3 point belt system in their C2 coupe?
I am going to upgrade and install a 3 point set up in mine. I will weld in an anchor point on the B pillar and drill the halo panel to match.
I drive my cars and I'm not the least concerned with judging or anyone's "legal" opinions so that's not the issue here.
I'd just like to see other's results and hopefully glean a little info from their work.
I'll be happy to share my results here when finished.

Thanks, Greg

The originals for 1966-1967 anchor in the back on the rear wheel well. Do a search and you will find info and pictures.

Greg, I installed them in my '64. If you have a 66-67 car, the anchor is already installed. If not, most kits come with an anchor plate that you slide between the body and the frame after you have drilled a hole in the rear fiberglass.

A word of caution, these dark blue belts did leave some light staining on my new white seats. If I had it to do over again, I would wrap the belts in some old towels and let them sit for a few weeks to allow any residual dye to bleed out into the towel. Its barely noticeable to anyone other than myself, but its still annoying.

Seat belts are "Seatbelt Solutions"....I ordered directly from their web site.

Seats are Cobra Stuttgart seats that I ordered in white vinyl to match my interior, then had the centers done locally in some tartan fabric I ordered from Scotland. I have them mounted on some custom brackets I had fabricated locally so that they would sit as low and far back as possible. I gained about an inch of head room and an equal amount of leg room.

Great post, Greg. I love the houndstooth!

3 point belts in my roadster were a massive improvement; my *** slides around a lot less now LOL

Great looking seats. The Tartan plaid cloth is really sharp. Very comfortable as opposed to leather or vinyl I bet!

This site really gives everyone a chance to see "what ifs" and personal improvements. I like 'em but I'm sure the purist wrinkle their brows some!
