Default scratched glass 65 roadster

I have some scratches in my windshield. Is there a product I can use to remove them?

Lee;

Car suppliers sell a cerium oxide based glass polish but it can be difficult and messy to use.

Are the scratches deep enough to catch your fingernail when you drag it across? If so, it's likely too deep to polish out, or would result in a warped view through the windshield afterwards.

The auto glass people, like Safelite can polish out glass, too.

I've done it - with the kit and all the goodies that come with it - a PITA and a chance to screw up a good windshield...not worth your time. Call a pro:

http://windowscratch.com/

They'll come out, evaluate the scratch(s) and tell you if its even worth messing with then fix it for you for a nominal fee...

They got pretty bad wiper scratches out of my 63 before it was judged...
They are a nationwide franchise....

Safelite does chip and crack repair - I've never heard of them polishing out scratches but maybe some of the franchisees do...

Just as info to everyone, there is no one in the Richmond area, per the Internet, who does this type work. Chips yes...……..scratches no.

Per the Internet, did you try this number:

It says right on the region specific website that they do scratch repair.
