I am replacing the ignition switch in my father's and my car. My father ordered a new switch from Eckler's. The ignition bezel does not fit around the new switch barrel. When I called Eckler's, they said others gave good reviews on the 'Ignition Switch 1958-1959 ', Part No 124765 and no others had difficulty with the switch. They even mentioned that my father had replaced the switch in the past with the wrong switch. I don't think that is correct, because the bezel fits over the switch I just removed from the dash.
Has anyone experienced this issue? This is my first post on a question, is my Title correct with the [C1] in front?

I had the same issue on my 60. I took the bezel to local Auto Parts stores and it didn't fit any of theirs either. I ended up filing down the outside of the new lock cylinder trim so it would fit.
