Would you sell your C1/C2 to buy a C8

Actually the question was posed to me by of all people.... my wife. You can get a mid engine C-8... but you have to sell the '66. Hmmmm. Mulling that one over. I want to see it up close and personal before I decide. The problem is... The C-2 gets about 9 miles to the gallon. I can only travel about 3 hours before I need to fill up on Premium. And my back is shot by then... so it's a chore to travel cross country. The new car would be like sitting in 1st class and probably runs on Regular. 30+ miles to the gallon... and she rides in comfort along side. I will decide once it arrives.

Here’s my plan. I drive up to the Chevy dealer in my ‘64 convertible frankenvette. I test drive a C8. If they give me $60k with no dealer mark up, it gets traded. My ‘64 coupe then has a new friend. If they offer me less, I sell it and buy a Z06 next year or when ever it is released.

An 8 car garage yet you can’t have both a 66 and a C8 on “her” ranch? Probably too late to grow a pair.......
We have room for 13 cars here (covered/enclosed) and have “only” 8 - me 6, her 2 including a brand new 2019 Cadillac XT4. She encourages me to buy anything I want and can pay for, including a C8. I know she’s a keeper!

No! Because I am holding out for a 1969 McLaren M6GT swap with someone!
