i'm installing the rear seat track holders on my 64....the floor was repairede and is slightly thicker [and much stronger i hope]
problem is the rivets for the reinforcements are too short'''does any one know where i can get some of these 3/16 rivets in a longer length than 5/8
I would first try DR REBUILD. That is who I have used in the past. If he no longer has them, I would Google "Aluminum Rivet Suppliers" or something similar, and buy from them. There are many on-line companies that sell rivets and riveting supplies.
You could thin that particular area of the floor by taking a dremel with a small flat sanding disc and sand down only where the rivets insert. McMaster Carr is another source. Head diameter will be 3/8 unless you use a brazier head which is not quite 1/2. The rivet material you want is 1100 which is soft pure non-alloy aluminum. I don't think head thickness will cause an interference problem in this area but you might want to check since your floor is now thicker.

The factory used a rivet with a head diameter of 9/16 and head thickness of about 50 thou or thereabouts. As far as I know Zip is the only supplier with the correct size head but you will be limited to 5/8 max length.
