[C1] Stops running after acceleration

Default Stops running after acceleration
My 1957 corvette starts right up and will run at idle with no problem. After driving a short distance when you go to give it gas it starts sputtering loses power then shuts off. Will start back up but only runs for a couple seconds and stalls out again. I changed the ignition coil but had same problem. Any thoughts on what to try next?

sounds like a gas-carb-fuel filter problem

I agree. Either your float levels are way low, or your fuel pump is not delivering . Need a little more info.

First check is to make sure your fuel pump pressure and volume is sufficient - this document describes the two tests using a common vacuum gauge:
