Default adding power brake booster

i want to add a power brake booster to my small block non power brake car, i do have a 67 master cylinder. when i add the power brake booster do i need to
also buy a new master cylinder?? i suppose i should buy the whole booster kit with a new master cylinder?? where is the best place to purchase the whole
power brake conversion kit? i see some on ebay for $189 for the whole booster kit with master cylinder. dont know if i trust ebay? i think the conversion kit is
a lot more expensive from ecklers or corvette central? what do u guys recommend? are u glad u added power brake to your car??? does it really make a
big difference in stopping?? i am somewhat handy, can i perform this conversion myself or should i take car into shop for the job?

any recommendations are greatly appreciated?

Not sure with a 67, but I have a 65 non power brake car that i upgraded to power during the restoration. Don't waste your money buying the cheap kit on ebay, i went thru 2 boosters because they both leaked vacuum. Buy the parts from Lonestar Caliper or from a vendor that sells their parts. Yes to me it made a huge difference, more noticeable on the peddle pressure. Im not sure if you can use your stock brake lines as with the booster installed it pushes the line ports forward.

I bought one from Long Island Corvette a couple years ago. Made in USA is a plus. No need to replace the MS. https://www.licorvette.com/power%20brakes_corvette.htm

Checkout CSSB, Inc. in Florida. I believe they make the conversion kit, and are a very (very) reputable source. Master cylinder is the same for power assist and non power assist, so MC can be reused. You will need to do something with the brake lines from the MC brake failure light block. One can easily be replaced, but the second one will need a splice or other alteration.

I believe the brake pedal and firewall mount will need adjustment..............at least that was needed for a 69 car I helped my friend with. Others who did this conversion for a 67 will hopefully input.

Easiest job youll ever do. Just push the MC forward, slip the PB in, and assemble. You only have to move the clevis on the brake pedal to the other hole.

And install the little metal "flag" to activate the brake light switch (or at least that's how it works on a 63)...
