I have been using this one for several years in different C2's. I painted it to match the current 65 interior. It gives the appearance that would be in the passenger's way for leg space, but it really isn't. I usually ride alone anyway, but on the occasions that I have ridden passenger it was not a problem.

Don't drink & drive a C-2 Corvette. Don't know why nowadays people have to drink something every few minutes. In the old days we could go for hours without a drink.

I haven't found one that holds a fifth of scotch. Other than that, I find that most Corvette cup holders aren't that great. Fortunately the cars themselves more than make up for it. When I want 14 cup holders I tend to go minivan, heated and cooled, I go BMW.
I don't know if 63s are different but I couldn't get one of those do-hickeys to sit securely in the location in the picture...
I went with the over-priced center drink holder that also has a small storage compartment...

AND mom paid four cents a loaf for “day old” bread at the supermarket.
Hydrate or die. As we age our bodies change physically. Water is good for us. Keeps the kidneys going.
When I worked in the supermarket, I could bring home the day old bread - for free....
If you driver around Central Florida much at all, A/C or not, in the summer you need to have water on board...
I'll occasionally pack a couple of jugs of Gator-Aid to a car show as well..
Easy and cheap to make.
Remove the ashtray insert. Cut a 2x4 stub to fit hole. Wrap with tape or foam for tight fit. Screw your favorite plastic drink holder to the2x4.

Here is mine.
I kind of did the same thing. Bought a $5 stainless steel cup liner from a marine store, and with a bolt through the ashtray and a little foam, got a quickly removable cup holder.

I like it! Will a large Yeti cup fit in it snugly? Does it hit the shifter handle in 3rd gear? Mine does not hit and it will swivel if you want.

Not sure about snugly, but it does fit. Holder is about 3-1/2" accross, 3" deep in the middle, steps up to 2-1/2" on the edges. Holds the big 44oz styrofoam cups alright.
I don't recall the shifter hitting a cup, even the bigger ones when I use it, but it is close to the cups in the holder, but not enough to throw off a shift. Have to admit I haven't tried speed shifting with a drink in it.
Asking because I like the simplicity of the ZIP 2-cup holder.
65GGvert yours looks the same as there single cup holder. Does it just slide up under the center console and wedge to the floor. Looks like it might slide out while driving

It does not slide out while driving. In fact it's pretty hard to pull out.
And for some strange reason that seems to have been overturned, we used to take salt tablets when it was hot outside.
When's the last time someone told you that you needed to take a salt tablet?
1982 before a formation seven mile run in Southern GA at the USBP Academy. You dressed out, went to the water cooler, the salt tablet distribution and outside to form up and run.

Yes, you need the salt to replace what you loose in perspiration and the water for the same reason.
