I have finally decided to do something with my 65...(sitting since 1988)...can you guys help with engine numbers please? I've checked my Noland Adams & black book but can't find anything. 18N375395...and VOIIOME. Thank you in advance. (
John from Boston)
I am not an expert on engine codes, but after doing some google searches this is what I came up with:
"18N375395"
"1" = Chevy
"8" = last digit of the year of car, could be 68, 78, 88, etc. (Probably 1968 given the other data).
"N" = car assembled in Norwood.
"375395" = the last 6 digits of the car's VIN (the car the engine originally went into).
"VOIIOME" "V" = engine made in Flint, Michigan. "0110" = engine made on January 10th. "ME" = engine is for a 1967 Camaro, 327, Powerglide transmission, 2 barrel carb, 210 hp.
My guess is your engine came out of a 1968 Camaro whose engine was built in January 1967.
