Distributor

Picked up a 283 service replacement block, some 462 heads, and a distributor. It is a cast iron dual point tack drive distributor. It has no ID ring. Does have the number "20" cast into the base. How can ID year and application?

Picture would help. Are the points adjusted with cap off? Does the cap have dual windows?

Would have had to have a cap with two windows by the looks of it - or points set with feeler gauges.

It appears to be a 1110985 that was used on 62 Corvettes w.340 Hp. It would have a dual window cap to adjust the points externally and no provision for a VAC.. The points could be adjusted with a dwell meter by blocking one set w. a piece of card board one at a time or you could set using a feeler gauge @ 16 thousandths each.
