Default Car cover

The L79 will soon be getting ready to go into winter hibernation. I got the old car cover out only to learn that the multitude of long tailed creatures residing in my garage apparently have developed a fondness for the material. My old cover had one hole in it, that for the antenna. My old cover now could cover Sputnik and all of it's antenna. Apparently it is time for a replacement.

Any suggestions?

There are a lot of good options, my split window came to me with a Wolf custom fit car cover....side view mirror pocket, antenna hole and clear vinyl window for the rear license plate. Don't know what it cost...but its a nice one...

If your main goal is to keep dust off the car, the best car cover is also the least expensive: A thin, plastic painters drop cloth. It won't scratch the paint at all and when it gets dirty buy another one. Oh, and it doesn't attract long tailed critters.

This is what I do, works great, but as a side note get rid of the little varmints , yes dryer sheets work, I also put socks over the pipes to stop them from nesting in them, and I set traps this time of the year because they are looking to come in from the cold,

I'm surprised socks do anything, the little bastards ate the front exterior toe portion off my expensive hunting boots stored in the attic...apparently there is salt in the leather they crave - ruined them. They have damned tough teeth...

Wonder about some steel wool in the tail pipes instead..

For protection of the car, when I'm spray paint, etc or messing with something dusty .....I have an El Cheapo cover from Walmart for like $39 I drape over the car.... It'll last for years and I toss it if it gets nasty... I like the loose ones for such tasks as the less you drag things across the paint (like a tight cover) the better IMO, and one cheap, loose cover can fit either car.

Wouldn't plugging up the holes in the garage work too?

Good luck with that, mice can compress there bodies almost down to the width of their jaws.....

I've been all around my roof with Tuff-Stuff expanding foam, steel wool and traps and the buggers still get in; but very rarely now...

those little bastards get in where ever they want, I have no holes and have changed the door seals several times, dryer sheets, some use moth ***** if you can take the stink, I place packets of rodent (food) around the garage, they eat it and go look for water, they don't come back. and yes the socks work, I can at least see if they have been chewing on them.

Large garage in rural north Wisconsin. Hole plugging doesn't work. I have places where they have eaten through the wall!

I shared this on another thread. Our shop is surrounded by fields and field mice. This fixed the mice AND condensation problem. CarCapsule.... worth every penny. Like putting her in a glass case for the winter.

How do you use the VP110 to deter the little pests?

A corvette friend of mine has kept his '67 in a Car Capsule for 25 winters in rural area of CT. He's never had a mouse get in. It uses a 12V 4" fan....the cost of running it for a season is probably less than a box of drier sheets. I liked it so much, I bought one for myself.
