Default c2 steering

I have a 65 roadster. Can i replace the circulating ball with a rack and pinion kit without also adding a power unit> thanks.

What's this circulating ball you're refering to? They do have non power steering rack kits. Flaming River offers a nice unit.
You would basically be removing the original steering box and all the steering linkage.

Tom, I just installed the Steeroids non-power, rack and pinion. The kit is very nice with quality hardware. The steering racks are just rebuilt GM donors....I believe out of the old Cavalier and Sunfire. I ended up stripping mine, painting it, and sourcing some better plugs for the ports. Flaming river also makes a non-power rack and pinion kit, but I have not tried that one.
