Default Tilt column

Looking at maybe installing a new tilt column. The current one has a tab broken off the top as well as broken turn signal. Anyone have a vendor preference? Read the post on rag joints not being 7 layers vs a Borgenson unit. Just thinking out loud. Maybe even the power steering kit with pump and valve.

Hard to believe that 100 members checked this post out without a response. Is the Ididit column that obvious? Probably is, the price is fair and the column is very nice. I had to put one in my '63 so I could get my xl, 6-3 frame in the car. Simple and nice looking with the original steering wheel.

I would have said Flaming River as that is what I installed in my 63.

I put a Flaming River in my 67. When I was looking it was between them and Ididit. Not sure why I went Flaming River but I've had no issues.

I installed the Ididit tilt the same time as the Borgeson, with the cut Ididit shaft and new rag joint, and shelved my unmolested original parts. I drove with the original steering wheel for about two weeks before swapping in a smaller diameter wheel with less dish, to gain more room. With increased caster and a few tweaks the combination drives excellent and looks stock to an untrained non-corvette enthusiast eye.
