I know this is a common problem and I’ve read posts in the past about the cause and the fix. I can’t find the threads now but I recall the fix being fairly easy. What I can’t remember is what to use to break down the cake-on grease.
WD 40 should loosen the crud. Or electronic circuit board cleaner. I'd stay clear of brake cleaner. It might eat away the enamel insulation on the coils. Heat from a gun might damage them, too
