My April built '65 has been off the road since the mid 70's. Much of it was in boxes when I bought it. Headlamps were in a box and tonight I separated the bulbs from the mounting buckets to clean them before re-installing. Checked the date codes and they are also dated April 1965. Kinda cool these headlamps have remained with the car for more than half a century.
Take some clear silicon sealant and go around the base of those rear electrodes where they enter the glass, it may help prevent them from sucking air and blowing the first time they are used after years of sitting idle (a common problem)..
You got lucky. Originals are pretty hard to find and what are the chances of finding the right date code T-3's. Might want to pick up a lottery ticket on the way home.
Not to high jack your thread Greg but read from Frankie and 63driver about the high temp orange silicone. Never heard of doing that until today but what a great idea and simple thing to do to prevent a blow out. Wondering if it would be a good thing to do on vintage Corvettes that sit a lot. It has been 6-7 years since the last time I drove my '66 in the dark. Thinking that I might do the same as you and put the high temp orange silicone around the base of the rear electrodes just for peace of mind.
Thanks for the silicone tip. I wasn't aware of that. Learn something new everyday. I think after all these years I'm just going to wrap these up, put them in a box and leave them in a box in the garage. Probably install some newer halogens for every day driving.

That’s what I did with mine; which were a gift from a forum member prior to judging in 2016
I believe that the repro LL's are halogen due to DOT regulations.
Not certain of this............do you have any additional information??
Maybe LL went to halogen recently, but the reproductions I bought about 5 years ago I thought were incandescent. But I could be wrong. They were Sylvania made and purchased from Zip........and had no DOT logos on the face of the lamps.

I believe I also have a set of LL's with No DOT on the face, they may be ink stamped DOT on the backside.???
I don't see the Halogen wording but they do say 25% brighter than original T3"s and meet current DOT standards. https://www.lectriclimited.com/lighting-fuse-flashers/
