Default Calipers

Where are you buying Delco Moraine calipers? O-ring or std design. Car intermittently driven.

Thanks.

Lone Star is very good..........but also look at CSSB, Inc. They actually make and sell new reproduction Delco calipers made off the original molds, as well as SS sleeved reconditioned calipers. Both o-ring and lip seal designs.

Thanks. I see the Delco calipers listed. I’ll give Ken a call.

Thanks everyone. In the past I’ve used Muskegon Brake but they don’t answer their phone and messages left were not responded to. At least yesterday, that was the case.

Muskegon doesn't rebuild calipers, Lonestar's been supplying them with calipers for at least the last 20 years. Lonestar supplies just about every one of the Corvette companies with rebuilt calipers, PS control valves, PS slave cylinders, rebuilt master cylinders, etc, along with many of the chain parts stores.

When talking to Lonestar, be sure to specify that you want Delco calipers. They usually save the Delco cores for the Corvette vendors and hobby, and send generic calipers to general automotive parts stores (Autozone, etc), but once in a while a generic one might sneak through. You can also request the correct casting numbers for your year, if that's important to you, though there might be a slight additional charge for this. Also, for a slight additional "tracking" fee, Lonestar will rebuild your original calipers, if you have them, but if you don't have Delco cores to turn in, there's a $100 per caliper core charge.

I think back in the very early days, Muskegon Brake may have done their own rebuilding. This would be 25-30 years ago. Agree Lone Star or someone similar probably does it now.

Lone Stat is a very good company that caters to the Corvette group. No reason to look further..............but CSSB, Inc is a good competitor that also has a lot...... and reproduces the MC and calipers castings from GM Delco licenses. Also good folks.
