Default Date code stamps

Do both of these assembly dates look correct for a 65 365hp engine?

The H's do not match - should they?

The stamp sets had slightly different font / size stamps in them, so the two different Hs does not bother me so much.

I am a little puzzled by the '9' digit in the one stamp. Not saying it is wrong, just that it looks "odd" to me.

The "HHs" for at least 65 (don't recall if the HH was used for other years, but don't think so) did not match.

The first H is always wider than the second H.

not in these two comparisons. Always is a bold declaration.

I guess they used pneumatic guns and had to hand set each character in the holder. I guess the H's could go in either position. A common error you see on the Mopars is the 8 installed either right side up or upside down. My old Hemi Road Runner had two 8's in the VIN and the stamp on the bottom of the block had the last 8 upside down.
