i removed a hurst shifter from my 65.
Im trying to re install the original shifter.
is there an adapter plate for the original shifter or does it bolt right to the transmission, the service manual pictures are vague.
If it bolts to the transmission with no adapter plate , which holes do I use.
Thanks, I thought my brother put all the parts in the box when I picked it up, after calling him he said he has another box of stuff.
I’ll look through that, at least I know what I’m looking for. After taking the hurst out then re installing it, I should be a pro.

thanks for getting back
That plate goes on the back set of holes. Only goes one way.
On the second page of the attached reference paper there is a pretty good diagram of how the bracket attaches to the side of the transmission and how the shifter attaches to the bracket.
The diagram is under the 1964 - Early 1966 Shifter and Mounting Bracket Square

Good Luck with it.[/
Thanks. I thought I was gonna be slick, I rebuild the shifter even made the alignment tool. It’s a good thing I’m pretty familiar with the hurst shifters so putting it back in wasn’t too bad cause that was as tight of a job as I’ve done in a long while. Nothing like getting half way through before realizing that you’re unprepared.
