Please help with 63 value
I am going to look at a 63 split window project next week in central California. The owner of the car has passed away and had been restoring corvettes for many years. The car is apart and has been completely torn down .It is supposed to be complete as far as all interior gauges, trim, bumpers, glass, everything.Any idea what it is worth??
not sure of color or options, and engine horse power. The body is supposed to be stripped from paint and is ready to finish.
any thaughts would be appreciated.I am the first person to look at it and don't want to miss out on a good deal
I have extensive paint and body experience so the paint and body work is not a problem. All enfo would be appreciated

Sorry, really no info of value here
Here is why. Is it a 63 SWC with VIN in the first 50 cars has a set of $80,000 2 spinner knock offs and is an original Z06 and big tank with the sintered brakes and a long lost Corvette Racing team car?
Then its worth about $2,000,000-$4,000,000
If its the long lost big block rumoured to be owned by Zora himself, $4,000,000-$6,000,000
And if its a 250hp automatic with missing pieces and needs a paint job $35K-$45K
So maybe a closer hint of what you may have would help
If you can get some photos, especially of the trim and VIN tags as well as the engine casting numbers and stamp pad, the folks here can help a lot.
I'm in Paso on the weekends, so if you need any help, let me know. I promise I won't try to swipe the car out from under you--I have no need for a project!
About 8 years ago a friend was asked to help value a 63 coupe. I think the owner passed. The entire car was in the basement, access from outside as I recall. It was apart, in boxes and it was all there.
Turns out it was a small tank Z06. He told the wife what it was and as I recall they agreed on a price somewhere under 60k.
63 Coupes seem to be the hottest thing right now! a guy bugged me to sell him a firewall back that I had in my garage with no other parts and a beat up front end that was off the car and no Frame, he offered me $42,000 for it and I sold it. So a complete no-hit project car Could easily be $60,000, if it’s a 340 horse or fuel injected you could add even more as long as it’s a no hit body and all the stainless is there.

One helluva lot of speculation and price predictions based on a two sentence description of a project with no pictures....
Guess the coffee consumption on these cold mornings is off the charts...

Just proves there's an A$$ for every seat. Congrats on your good fortune!
Yeah, I've noticed all the grousing about how the lofty prices for split windows in nearly any shape has abated some.... The market has spoken...
On the flip side many with "split window fever" don't know what they're getting into if originality is their goal. These early midyears are the most unsophisticated of the breed, with "throwback" features like all drum brakes, many of the transmission, rear end and trailing arm components are much weaker than later midyears and the quest for 63-only parts if any are missing is a sobering task.
