Default How are you marking torqued bolts and nut upon reassembly?

So I am finally starting to assemble my 63 SWC and I was pondering how I want to mark
my torqued and untorqued bolts and nuts.

When I did my 69 I used orange tape like this to mark the UNtorqued bolts and nuts so I would
know to come back and torque later

The problem with this is that some nuts and bolts don't get torqued until after everything is on the car,
ie suspension bushings.
Over time some of the tape fell off
I have also heard of people marking with paint the bolts that HAVE been torqued
I think I remember someone using their wife's finger polish

Thoughts?

Thanks

Aircraft Spruce (and others) sell a product for just this, it’s thicker then paint, and dries quickly. You apply it to cover the nut, and a portion of the threads, or bolt head and surface. It provides two things; 1 is to show that faster has received its final torque, and 2, for future inspection to see if the fastener has moved from its original position.

Placing a wrench on the nut or bolt knocks it off so you know the bolt was removed/loosened.

I order mine from Grainger Supply

If I were to do it again, I would go green over red. The red is more of a pinkish color, I think the green is more subtle....we use green or orange at work on everything on the aircraft.
