My father-in-law is working on a 56 Corvette that had some questionable fiberglass work. While installing the cowl brackets, it’s obvious the cowl brackets are not lining up and bolting up as intended. Should these brackets line up better than this? He was ready to modify the brackets until the fiberglass work has come into question. Thanks in advance, any advice is appreciated.
Couple questions
I see door / hinge bracing
When was that put in
Before or After the front end was cut off ?
How was the door alignment before the nose was off
Did the doors hit the dash
Did the doors not fit right at the latch? - (meaning the dash sagged)
Before I loosen the bracing up - I would make sure the dash is in the right location
