These photos are of the area where the vent window frame is secured to the inside door fiberglass Driver side Passenger side
I was not able to capture the angle well but it appears that the hole in the vent will result in a notch in the glass rather than a hole. I had to rebuild these areas in the past because they were damaged. Does anyone have a good photo of the area showing the relationship of the hole in the fiberglass with respect to the threaded vent hole. I realize I may have to alter and reglass the area. Thank you all in advance.
Had the door panels off on my car a few weeks ago and I should have refreshed my memory more as I looked right at that. But I think the bolt helps anchor the vent frame rigidly. I don't believe it provides any form of adjustment but I have a coupe - not sure about convertible.
Well done. Being a fellow retired oral surgeon, I use lots of dental materials and especially dental hand instruments. My friends used to laugh at me, but then they started asking where they could get items like I had.
