Had a 66 many years ago with a switch under the dash near that location. It was a kill switch.

That side panel is from a 67 corvette for the vent cable.

Yes i agree, was just pointing out the side cover is for a 67 not a 66 side plate.

Sometimes the auto archaeology can be a fun side project. At other times it can be a nightmare.

Tracked it down. It was a wire leading to where the left horn was located. It ended with a connection that at one time in the past had an extra radiator fan. There was a piece of tape with electric fan written on it. I have eliminated the wires and switch.
