Some sellers - you can buy two serviceable hardtops for that price....
You should call Matt at Glassworks out of PA and see if he has something lying around..
Both sides 2K. Looks like about $750 ea is the going price, IF you can find one. Left is always harder to get than right. Might try David Sokolowski in CA. I sold him several years ago. Matt doesn't show any available on his website. Mary Jo doesn't seem to have any. Seems to be very hard to find. I'd probably go with the item below, and sell the right side.
I called Matt first, he doesn't want to let go of one right now. He said maybe at the end of the summer. I kinda figured when I screwed mine up it wouldn't be too hard to find one. I thought there has to be a ton of ruined tops out there with stainless still available maybe around 150-250. Yeah that worked out good. I have 2 located, the first was on the very upper end of what I want to pay. The second is still pricey so I'm holding out to see if I can find a better price. I don't know why but the passenger side is available but the driver side is very hard to find.
James a JT Piper was able to locate 2. I bought the 2nd one. I've removed the normal dents on the front edge and have it mostly polished. Of course this is where I was on the original one. I need to improve my polishing skills but that's hard to accomplish when you are the teacher and the student. Anyway I've read some negative comments about Piper's here about them being expensive. James did a lot of looking and sold it for a reasonable price.
The guy that has them listed for $5k had them previously listed for $2,900. They didn't sell for that so it makes perfectly good sense to raise the price to 5Gs.

Robert, that piece looks fantastic. I have just finished dp90 and 2k on my top panel and am single stage inca silver painting color in the morning...I hope. Will continue on my hardtop thread that I had going but got overwhelmed! Mine is coming out out perfectly so far and hope that my thread on rebuilding instead of ID'ing parts will help others. I am going to put a price of what I have in this top which seems I would have been better off just buying one from Glassworks already done...but then I would not have had the fun of doing it. Bill
