engin suffix problem (again)
suffix code dd means a 307... but here is what my block reads ser # of car...then ''k03 01 1dd" now dd means chevelle", but I have 1dd or ldd not sure if 1 or l,
also the heads are double hump intake is highrise snowflake, and dist is electronic. I have found no k03 and no ldd I have not tested car out yet, needs inspection,
so I do not know if it pulls like 300hp or 210 hp. this engine is in my 64 coupe

Generally engine stamps are made up of a letter for the engine plant, four numbers for the day and month it was produced, and a one, two or three letter suffix code, to identify the engine. The engine code you gave seems too have one or two more digits than it should. As far as the "010" block, it was used from 69-79, not just in 69, and were put in just about everything that used a 350 Chevy engine, from Corvettes to pick up trucks. To my knowledge, the 010 was not used for 307's, only 350's and possibly some 69 302's. The 010 block is probably the most common of all Chevy blocks.
I can tell you that a "K" engine prefix code indicates an engine that was assembled at GM's St Catherine, Ontario, Canada engine plant. The casting date, and the VIN number on the block, could both be helpful in identifying the block.
