Default Horn

Greetings
The horn on my '67 stopped working and I have determined that the problem is the spring loaded pin on the directional switch has worn down that it no longer makes contact with the ring. There was a lot of gold colored dust laying in the column when I took this apart. I know I replaced the switch when I did my frame off ~20 years ago. Is there a fix/replacement for this spring loaded pin or must I buy a new directional switch?
Thanks
Gary

The should be replacements available from the usual vendors. There are for 64-66 at least. I've "bubbaed" them while waiting for the replacement. Spring from a ball point pen and a panhead wood screw.

Gary,

Avispa is correct as usual and most of the standard corvette vendors have them in either a kit form . . .

https://www.paragoncorvette.com/p-35...brush-kit.aspx

Or just the horn contact brush by itself . . .

Good Luck with it. C.J.

You can use the spring from a ballpoint pen. Worked good for me. Peter

Not a permanet fix but a solder bubble can be put on it then use silcone grease on the slip ring.
