Hey guys...I need to paint my interior upper doors and interior windshield trim on my 64. The interior is dark blue. I took a piece of the interior windshield trim to the body shop supply store. They scanned it, but the paint they mixed for me takes several coats to cover properly and not sure the color looks right. I have done one door upper. Not sure if its the specific paint they mixed or maybe that’s normal. Does anyone know what color and type this paint should be for 64 dark blue interior? Could it just be Daytona Blue? I know it might be hard to tell, but here is a pic of what I have. Thanks!

The type is lacquer, and the color is Drk Blue. Not much help I know.
Your color looks pretty good to me. I could show you pics of my Drk Blue gut 64, but colors just don't show well in photos.

We have just gone through this issue and it would appear the difference between Daytona Blue interior trim and Daytona Blue Exterior is the removal of the metal flake and nothing else. What that does is remove the reflective lighter tones and creates the dark almost black look of the inside Daytona Blue. We are just doing the spray out of the car now.
Huck, my interior is original and Navy Blue. The color you have looks really close if not spot on. When I look at mine it almost looks like it has some violet in it. The navy paint on the shifter console is what I would consider a more Navy as compared to the upper doors etc. Do you want me to try to send you a pic or two of the same area you are painting? If you look at the door paint line pics that I sent you a few days ago you can see what I am talking about.
Huckleberry, here are a few pics of my original '64 Navy interior door. The first three are highlighted with an LED light, the fourth is natural lighting. I hope this helps.
