Side Pipe Mount
Can someone tell me the correct way the front driver side tab on the side pipe cover mounts to the body for air cond. or big block cars? Does the tab go behind the battery access panel or in front /over the panel?

My '67 with factory A/C. There is a U-nut behind the panel for the bolt to secure into.

I
OK, I see your tab is mounted outside as mine. Just seems attaching it behind would make battery access better.

Pop,
Battery access is a PIA, as we know, on these cars. What's one more stinkin' bolt

Yes, it does, and that is "correct". (Unless of course you have an AO Smith car and then you're screwed as far as the NCRS goes)

Non AC cars do not have a battery access panel on the driver's side.............so there is no inside or outside choice. The only exception to this is the 1965 396/425 engine car, which has this access panel for that part year only. (March-July 1965)
