Default Upper Control Arm

Is there a difference between the 1965 and 1966 control arm cross shaft. Particularly the bolt holes. I've seen round and also square.

Square bolt holes or square shaft sections that the bolt holes are drilled in? I know there are two types of shafts one with square bolt pads and one with rounded bolt pads. Not sure if the years have been pinned down exactly for each. If you really mean square reamed bolt holes - guess I've not seen that before.

Square and round bolt pads is what I meant to say. Just doing some restore on my 66 and found mine have the square pads. I seem to have read somewhere that the square were for a 65 vette and the round for a 66. My question comes from the fact that my 66 has the square one and wonder if it is correct.

My winter of 66 car had one of each. But I can’t be sure one hadn’t been replaced at some time since it had taken a hit up front at some time.
