Default 63 front bumper question

Where the bumper attaches to the hole above the parking light is there supposed to be a rubber cushion or does the bumper just bolt directly to the fiberglass? Seems like there should be something between the bumper and body but I do not see anything in the details that I have looked at.

Thanks

I got an old inner tube and cut the pattern necessary. Another thought for you. Don't completely tighten all the bolts, work them in sequence while aligning the bumpers from the front, then keep tightening a bit at a time. It's good to have a helper for this. This way you don't over stress the side bolts and crack the fiberglass. Dennis
