Default Stapling window sweeps

Anybody tried to use a heavy duty stapler to staple window sweeps? Maybe like this one?

I doubt very much that would work. On the outer sweeps you’re going through stainless steel. On the inner you’re going through the steel upper door panel.

Small alum pop rivets work really well then easily hidden with flat black paint on them.

Another idea is to buy some stainless steel wire the same diameter as the original staple wire and then hand form it to fit the original staple holes.

I did this when I replaced the whisker strips on my car and it worked out well.

I just redid mine and didn’t use any staples. I clamped the sweep onto the panel and used slow cure epoxy. It worked great.
